- Extension Splint is designed to immobilize and protect a finger with metacarpal injury, fracture, or after the surgery while it recuperates.
- Used to help align the small joints that may be affected by arthritis or injury. It is designed to assist the stiff PIP joint into extension and correct flexion contractures through constant and progressive force.
- Used to keep these vulnerable extremities in place while you heal from a finger sprain or break or to help increase a limited range of motion from a chronic condition.
- Made from polypropylene which is malleable, can be bent and customized as per patient need. It is very light in weight. It provides rigid immobilization.
- Hook loop fasteners provide close fitting and excellent grip. It is easy to wear and remove. The wrist strapping improves grip and provides strong immobilization of the injured metacarpal.
- You can wear it at night while you sleep. During weeks 3 and 4, you may do your normal activities without the splint during daytime hours. Again, you must still sleep in your splint.
- Light weight and malleable, Easy to apply or remove, Well ventilated and wash by hand.
